What is Basil?

Basil is a software platform that helps businesses organize and automate their freelance management workflows. We also offer VOR (Vendor Of Record) services to help speed up your hiring process, handle back office tasks, and compliance.

Who is Basil for?

While Basil can be tailored to any industry or company that hires freelance talent or external vendors/consultants, it is especially built for creative and marketing teams (in-house teams at brands, studios, and agencies).

We're perfect for anyone on those teams who rely on a pool of freelance talent or are consistently resourcing external talent to work on projects.

Does Basil integrate with my existing work stack or tools?

If you're a Basil's OnboardingOS customer, we link into your procurement/hiring workflow to become a vendor of record.

How are talent contacts on the Basil database (Basil Discovery) added/vetted?

Basil's Discovery Database is populated via an endorsement engine. In other words, freelance and agency contacts are only added when they're invited by a customer of Basil or if someone on the Basil team invites them.

Freelancers and small agencies can also request to be added to the Discovery database.

Once added, contacts have the option of providing ID verification (via our secure partner Plaid) for an extra layer of vetting.

Is Basil secure?

Absolutely. We use enterprise-grade security, data encryption, and compliance standards to keep your information safe and your operations running smoothly.

What support options do you offer?

We offer 24/7 customer support, a knowledge base, and dedicated account managers for OnboardingOS customers to ensure a smooth and customized experience.

Is there a free trial available?

Yes! We offer a free trial of the Basil Pro tools so you can explore Basil's platform before committing. No credit card required to get started.

For Basil OnboardingOS customers need to onboard us a vendor in order to access those enterprise-level features. However, it's pay-as-you go for OnboardingOS customers, so it's low-commit.
